Sarah Ludford is the Liberal Democrat Member of the European Parliament (MEP) for London, first elected in 1999. Interested in London's environment, transport and regeneration, Sarah is currently organising a petition to the European Parliament against the discharge of raw sewage into the Thames. She is also campaigning to protect residents against the noise and pollution from Heathrow's proposed third runway.

Baroness Sarah Ludford is also a life peer in the House of Lords, appointed in 1997.
Sarah was an elected borough councillor in London for most of the 90s, has a degree in international histroy and has an MA in European Studies. She is also a qualified barrister.
