In the end, Croydon North held onto its status as a safe Labour seat. That party secured its position by going against the national trend to increase its share of the vote in the consistuency.

Gerry Jerome, Candidate for Croydon North, held onto the third spot for the Lib Dems on a slate that included nine candidates.
