We pledge:

To consult with local business with a view to helping them to flourish, maintaining existing local jobs and creating new ones
To ensure, where possible, that council procedures do not make it difficult or impossible for small, local businesses to bid for providing services.
To avoid planning disasters such as the Tories' aborted closure of St. George's Walk, which has destroyed local businesses and the services they provided to the local community
To retain those Post Offices that are still open, and to rebuild the Post Office network
To promote Fair Trade and local farmers' markets across the borough
To extend the collection of recyclable waste from businesses
