Local schools are continuing to suffer from Labour's financial incompetence. The threat of cuts still hangs over local schools.

"Our children are paying the price for Labour's incompetence. Local schools are faced with huge financial problems, despite Labour's whopping 27% council tax rise," said Steven Gauge, London Assembly Spokesman.

"The council and the Government must get together and sort out this mess before our childrens' education suffers further. Prospects for next year are equally unclear."

Hundreds of concerned parents in Coulsdon and Old Coulsdon have signed the Liberal Democrat petition to 'Save Our Schools', which is being presented to Croydon Council and the Government.
